Yoga Kids program @ the library!

Yoga is an ancient form of staying fit by performing asanas, or moves, which involve stretching, concentrating, and breathing in the right manner at the same time. Yoga is considered good for your body because the kinds of movements it involves are for the benefit and limberness of each and every part of your body.

Yoga isn't just beneficial for adults...now children can benefit from the powers of Yoga as well! Sports strain, school pressures, or just for 30 minutes of fun yoga poses that will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated!

Monday nights at 5:30 p.m. beginning in February.

Children must be at least 6 years old to participate
You must sign up in the Avice Noblett Children's Room or call (732)842-0690 to register

*On the day of the program: Wear comfy clothing that you can easily stretch in and bring a Yoga mat and water!

Welcome to the New and Improved Children's Website!

Hey all,

First off I would like to introduce myself...
My name is Miss Sam and I'm the new Children's Librarian here at the gorgeous Avice Noblett Children's Room in the Red Bank Eisner Memorial Library (woah, now that's a mouthful)! I can't wait to start getting to know each and everyone of you kids and your parents, so stop by and say HI! whenever you get the chance.

How to use this website:
Everything going on in the Children's Room will be posted on here waaaayy in advance so keep checking back to see what kind of good things are taking place at the library. You can't register online, yet, but stop by the library to sign up for programs...I promise that I won't mind your company at all!

We've also got some great links you can check out, however I'm open to more suggestions, so if you've got a game site or homework help site that you use and want me to link to, just let me know and I'll post it up there right away.

And while you're here, don't forget to feed some of our Navesink River fish that are hanging around here at the Red Bank Library website. Just click on the blue water they're swimming in on the right hand side of the page and watch them go wild!

I'll be dropping in here and blogging on some of the new things that we've got specially for you here at the library. There are big changes coming (as you can see by our awesome new layout) and together we're going to make our library not only the most beautiful in New Jersey, but the best! Do you think we can? Of course we can!

See you around the stacks,
Miss Sam
